He now will occasionally say "amen" after our meal time prayers. He is very good at folding his arms and sometimes we have to pray 3-4 times during the meal because he keeps setting down his fork and folding his arms ;)
Today when helping me cook he said "it's hot". That was the first (understandable) sentence I've heard. Usually he just says "hot."
When he can't find someone like dad or something like his blankie he shrugs his shoulders and puts his hands up like saying "I don't know". It cracks me up every time.
He can point to most body parts: toes, feet, tummy, ears, eyes, mouth, nose, head, and hair. And binkie if it's in ;)
Any time a cartoon theme song is on Eli starts skipping and hopping while waving his arms around his head. I try to get it on video but it's just too spontaneous!
i love to see each stage that he is going through. i am so glad that you are catching it on film and making a story blog about him and your whole family. what seems at the moment like ordinary stuff and some days even monotonous and that you really aren't doing anything or accomplishing anything big seems like huge events when you look back at all he has learned, and mostly from you, in the past 18 months. enjoy each moment that you can because it really does fly by. it seems like such a short time ago that you were sitting on the counter top helping me stir, or learning to fold washcloths, or even putting on your own shirt (sometimes inside out and backwards) now you are teaching your own little one these same things. circle of life it seems just keeps going on......
