Sunnahae

Today during Eli's nap (while Grandma watched him) we hiked up Sunnahae mountain. It was lightly raining and perfectly cool.  It was such a great hike. It was really nice to have a quiet afternoon with just the two of us.

                                                                          Holy stairs!

This mountain had been logged 50-60 years ago, and this hike is originally up an old logging road.  These stairs were part of the old train but are rotted away now.

                                                                 Natures snack!

  1. what a beautiful hike. somehow i had missed this posting of your hike. the stairs look like they would make my knees just burn and ache. remember the 164 stairs at the astoria column or the series of stairs going to diamond head look out on oahu for 227 or there was some place on the american history tour with long killer stairs from which my knees are still burning. but the view of craig is amazing. i had no idea that the city looked like that so it helps me see why you love it so much. beautiful grand view.
