5$ Dollar Store Wreath

As a forewarning, when I do a craft I get a little addicted and crazy. I can't stop until it's done. This included taking time to get my camera for quality step by step pictures. Sorry! I plan to do another wreath and may take more detailed pictures (If I can slow down a bit!)

I had been wanting a simple berry wreath for my old vintage window but I couldn't find anything for less than 30$.  Even supplies to make one was more than I wanted to spend. Until I stumbled across the floral section at the Dollar Tree. They had the perfect little berry stems for 1$ each in red, white, green, lavender, or orange. They only had 4 white and 1 green so I took what I could. I also purchased a 1$ ivy vine and used it to make the form and used the leaves as a base.

First I pulled the leaves off the vine and glued them on the wreath form. Because I used the ivy as my wreath form it was a bit smaller than most wreaths but perfect for my project. You could use any wreath you want.

I randomly glued the ivy leaves down then glued down the leaves that came on the berry stems. Eli loved "picking" the leaves off for me.

At this point I got hooked and didn't stop for a picture. Basically I did a big blob of glue and glued down one little individual berry stem. I did one at a time around jn a circle tucking in extra ones where it was sparse. I trimmed off the little plastic stem end and it was ready to hang!!

Sorry again for the terrible phone pictures!!

Best Playdough

Today we just enjoyed each moment and played together, soaking up the sweet moments of this little boy.

Eli helped me whip up a couple batches of playdough. This is the best recipe I've found!
1 cup flour
1 cup water
1/3 cup salt
2 tsp cream of tarter
1 Tb oil

Mix in pot over medium low heat, then add good coloring. Keep mixing and stirring until playdough pulls away from edges and doesn't look shiny or wet at all. Let cool and play!

I love those cute little dimples on his hands. They remind me he's still my little boy :)

Movie Night in the Tent

Last weekend we set up the tent in the living room to watch a movie and have treats. Eli thought it was the coolest thing! He brought all his trains in there and loaded it with blankies. Fun night ;)

Sleigh Ride

There is a wonderful family that used to live in Alaska with Bryan. They moved to southeast Idaho years ago and now that we are here it's been fun getting to know them. "Grandma Melly" said she will be Eli's third grandma and we love her!

We went on a sleigh ride through the country and Bryan rode their horse Shooter. It was a balmy 10 degrees but we had a blast!

Eli really did love it but was getting tired. (And so nobody reports me to CPS he refused to keep his hat on- I tried) :)

Sledding!

Today we headed to visit Bryan's brother and family to go sledding.  It was such a fun day! Eli loved going with Bryan.  I asked if he wanted me to go with him and he said "No.  Daddy go"  So off they went!

And back up.  Time after time.

My favorite run of the day was Bennett charging down the hill doing some serious spins! And yet he was laughing and smiling the whole way down.  He's such a happy spirit!

All tuckered out!
