As I get older the significance of Easter becomes much more important than candy or Easter baskets or dying eggs. But to a 3 year old, those things are still so fun. We tried to teach him about the crucifixion and resurrection. But those are some pretty deep words for a little guy. Fingers crossed some of it stuck :)
i had totally forgotten to look at your family blog... and all of a sudden you have a couple of new posts. the Easter dinner looks amazing (as always when you cook) and it looks like a perfect day for an egg hunt for Eli in his own back yard. i tried to focus more on the beauty of the resurrection, rather than the more gloomy parts of that long holy week. great post!!!
