We tried to go to Utah Lake today for a picnic and to play in the water and see if there were any camping spots around. We get to the ticket booth and its 10$ per car! No way are we paying that much. So we park outside and walk to a grassy area near the entrance. A worker comes running out of her booth and says, "It costs 5$ to enter the park." We look at each other and Bryan says, "It costs 5$ to walk on this grass?!"

holy smack!! what do you think your taxes pay for? what is the value of a park if people aren't allowed to even walk in and have a little quiet picnic. some bird comes to poop on the grass and it is fine; a dude mows it with a noisy machine that pollutes and its just dandy, but oh NO!! people want to actually walk along a path and they have to pay! totally bogus.
