This is the Place

Why was it that 2 days after Bryan graduated from college he had a full time job starting that week as a full time teacher with great medical benefits?

Why were we able to sell our Contract in Rexburg immediatly?

How come I found a job before we officially moved to Utah that allowed us to share a car, and work only day shifts during the week?

For 9 months now we did not understand why everything fell into place so perfectly to live in Utah.  We were not planning on ever living here, nor were we very excited to move here when we loved Rexburg so much, but these things just happened.  I am grateful we moved and followed these opportunities without hesitation.

This weekend we realized exactly why were were inspired to be in this location.  We are so grateful for Heavenly Father knowing what we need and gently guiding us in the right direction to receive help that our family needs.  We had been going through the motions, and seriously considering moving, but for now we know this is where we need to be.

  1. Ok, I didn't realize the message you sent on Facebook was YOUR etsy shop (I am a genius). I just thought it was something you thought I'd like (which I did). Then I come here and see it was your shop. I'll have to order stuff from you. I recently met (passed on the street) my first LDS celebrity and I reacted like a child. Steve is still laughing at me. Blank stare to familiar face walking by, wait, I know him...it's Dallin H. Oaks. Sat up straight in the carriage and waved like an idiot. Quickly realized what I was doing and just as suddenly sat back. He just smiled, nodded, and said hello. I put up my meager fall decorations too. I'm excited about fall (not so much the flare up in Tess's asthma, and Bennett is also wheezing and coughing a lot). I am loving the weather lately! I still want blue jars too. I might just have to get some one of these days. I saw a cute thing online of different kinds of bottles on display and now I want those too. Ok, this comment is ridiculously long and pointless, but I had a lot of posts to catch up on.

  2. I am glad that we acted the same with our "celebrities" :) I bet they get that all the time! i wanted to buy them, but after making them i'm pretty satisfied with how they turned out! they don't have the cool rusty metal lids, but for $.25 they are good! I'll make you some :)

  3. sometimes we have experiences like you had of meeting sister allred or realizing why you are living in utah, then you know that heavenly father is aware of us, individually or as a family, and knows our needs and knows when to bless us and in what specific ways so we can be ready to accept it. there are so many times i have had prayers answered clearly and promptly that i have a powerful testimony of prayer... but one of the best was when i had to wait months to find my CTR ring and then i learned to pray not to find it but to accept that it was gone. at that point then it was given back to me. you are so wise to realize that the answers you and bryan have received in the past week are the reason for you being where you are and you know the source of how all the puzzle pieces are coming together. thank you for sharing this... i love you!!

  5. I know why you were sent here! It's because Jeremy and I were losers and needed friends down here. :) Just kidding! But all the same, whatever the reason, we're SO glad you guys are here! You are such amazing friends and I don't know what we'd do without you guys! (Had to repost to fix a grammatical error :))

  6. mom- remember when I lost my ring. That was direct inspiration to look in that pocket to find it. I know in my heart I didn't put it there, but through prayer we found it.

  7. oh yes, i had forgotten the horrible trauma for a moment in time when you lost your ring. you were ready to go through the landfill of rexburn looking for the right garbage truck. but for some reason, which we clearly know, i told you, 'put on coat and go to your pumpkins'... those very words weren't mine but i was just the mouth they came out of and the answer was so prompt. a great example of listening and following without question...
