Orange Dreamsicle Cookies
2 1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 - 2 Tbl. grated orange zest
1 1/2 c. white chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and both sugars until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla and mix until combined. Add the orange zest. Gradually add the flour mixture and beat thoroughly. Stir in the white chocolate chips. Using a small ice cream scoop, drop dough onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-11 minutes. Yield: around 30 cookies.
These are wonderful cookies. By far my new favorite recipe!!!!
here is your assignment because you have someone to help you eat and compare the results (that would be your hungry husband). try making a batch of cake mix cookies using a french vanilla mix, add the orange zest, even substitute orange juice for part of the water and add the white chocolate chip. then try some of each recipe and return and report. the cookie you attached to my blog must have gotten caught in the signals because it wasn't there when i opened my emails. what's the deal girlie-O??
